About Our Training ProgramMountain Plains Kennel is a Retriever Training Facility offering customized training programs designed around the individual needs of each retriever and handler Our basic program begins with a well structured obedience foundation. This is followed with our basic program of yard work combined with field work to keep your retriever balanced and focused while maintaining a positive attitude. Transition programs takes your dog from the basic program and prepares them for advanced work. Our advanced program focuses on skills and concepts required of field trial and hunt tests. |

We will also train advanced skills required of the fully trained hunting dog and custom train your dog to your individual hunting needs whether working waterfowl from a tree stand in flooded timber in Arkansas or upland hunting on the northern plains. We continue as far as you and your retriever want to advance. We pride ourselves in using only a minimum amount of pressure along with attrition to achieve our high standards with meticulous results. All training programs include private sessions with you and your retriever to fully utilize your companion's new skills. |
