About Chuck
Chuck is an avid hunter and professional guide. He was introduced to hunting by his Father who taught him hunting skills and ethics.
This led Chuck to begin training his own retrievers in the 70's. He has guided waterfowl and upland hunting since the 80's in five states.
Also in the 80's, he began running UKC/HRC Hunt Tests and soon thereafter was running AKC Hunt Tests. Chuck began running Field Trails in the mid 90's. Presently he runs both AKC Hunt Tests and Field Trial Events. He has put numerous MH, HRC titles, and Field Trial placements on dogs.
Although he graduated from the University of Wyoming with a degree in Wildlife Management, he chose to follow his passion for retriever training by creating and establishing Mountain Plains Kennel in 1989.
Chuck is still an avid hunter and does guiding services.

training, conditioning, and boarding facility where Chuck specializes in
customized training of retrievers for field trials, hunt tests, and
hunting dogs.
